CNCC, its member Deloitte, and the bilateral chambers of Brazil, Canada, and India co-hosted a breakfast seminar on how businesses can be both environmentally and economically sustainable.

On the 25th of April CNCC, member Deloitte and three other bilateral chambers of commerce in Norway (Canada, Brazil, and India) co-hosted a seminar about the green shift in business, in order to be able to decrease environmental impacts while still increasing economic activities. The event had participation and interventions from successful and environmentally friendly companies such as Yara International, Aker Biomarine, Statkraft, TotalCtrl, Cambi Group, and Deloitte Norway

The main topic was: “How can businesses face the Green Shift and still support the bottom line?” Going green doesn’t mean doing less, it means doing more in a smarter way.

This event allowed participants to take a deep dive into Deloitte’s SDG Accelerator program and provided some real-life inspiration on how others have succeeded using the disruptive power of the SDG agenda to their advantage.

The Green Shift was introduced by Michel Wolfsttirn, followed by a panel discussion by successful and environmentally friendly companies such as Yara, Aker Biomarine, Statkraft, TotalCtrl and Cambi.

Deloitte, will be presenting their SDG Accelerator for Business Strategy. The SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) were adopted by the United Nations in 2015 in order to meet economic and social goals for all of the world’s population. If companies use the SDGs to drive change, they can find efficiencies they might not have thought possible.
